Myself, Johnny (Service Manager), and JD (CEO, Owner) just spent an entire week in Vegas at Konica Minolta's Product Expo learning about and demoing all of the new equipment coming out soon. We're happy to say that big things are coming!
Konica Minolta is rolling out a marketplace for new MFP systems that will work very similarly to your smartphone marketplaces. You will be able to download apps to check up on stocks, the weather, post to your social networking communities, and more. Not only are there going to be many social tools and other features, but Konica Minolta is also rolling out many apps to make it easier for you to manage your documents - including connections from your copier directly to google apps including gmail, docs, and more!
The new copiers are going to feature multi-touch interfaces with a completely revamped interface that makes them easier to use and much more intuitive!

How many of you buy computers at the big-box store? When that computer has a hardware issue more often than not it seems that it's not worth it to fix the issue. These 'pre-fab' bargain boxes are almost always built inside of cases with strange form-factors, and are filled with proprietary or non-standard parts that aren't easy to upgrade or replace.
Most manufacturers source out the absolute cheapest components possible to keep the price down. While it's understandable that they would want to keep their profit margins high, it doesn't always work out well for the consumer - IE you!
